1 Haiti Appeal

A huge thank you to everyone for their contributions towards the Haiti appeal.  We managed to raise £372.86 which has been banked to the DEC Haiti Earthquake Fund. Thank you also to the School Council for suggesting and organising the pyjama day event and the Y6 pupils for providing and selling the cakes.  Both the Wiltshire Gazette & Herald and The Standard came and took photographs so look out for these in this week’s editions.

2 Mad Science

We have had a terrific response to this, 53 replies in all.  There is a maximum limit of 20 to a class, so unfortunately not all children will be able to participate in the first 6 sessions being held.  Mad Science have advised us today that all children who registered have a place, but experience has taught them that parents prefer to have one class for the older children and another class for the younger ones;  to this end the sessions which start on 2nd March will be for Years 4, 5 and 6.  Separate sessions will be held for Y3 and then Years R, 1 & 2 in later terms.

3 e-safety

In response to the ICT questionnaire sent out last term we will be holding a meeting and workshop for parents on e-safety on 18th March, 7-8pm in the school’s ICT suite.  A flyer, with reply slip, will be issued next week.

4 Birch Class Assembly

Please note that Birch Class assembly has been moved to Friday 19th March, 9.15am.
